Sheila Wilson
- “Horses and art go together. Sometimes one has to be very creative when training horses. My training as an artist provides the 'eye' to see the detail in every rider and every horse that I am fortunate enough to train.”
Sheila has been working professionally with horses as a trainer and riding instructor for more than 20 years and has been making art even longer. She has learned to combine her passions.
Her training as an artist (BFA in printmaking from The University of Oklahoma and MFA in painting from Pratt Institute) has sharpened her eye as a riding instructor. She is able to see small details that can make big differences.
Though her art is not limited to images of horses, her daily interaction with them is often expressed through her art work.
